Simon Smirks As Couple Walks On Stage. Seconds Later, Their Beautiful “Prayer” Leaves Him Speechless

Simon talks to you soon! Jonathan Antoine enchants Simon Cowell and the judges at the first audition "Don't judge a book by its cover" is an old phrase that remains true today. This is especially true in the case of Jonathan Antoine. During his growth, Jonathan was constantly harassed at school because of his weight. Now, at seventeen, his self-confidence really suffered because of it. You don't expect anyone like this to do auditions for Britain's Got Talent. However, thanks to the support of her faithful school friend, Charlotte, 16, they both decided to leave their comfort zone and audition for the show. Dressed in jeans and a loose-fitting sweater, Jonathan took the stage with Charlotte. The judges had seen many acts that day, many of them rather painful, so when the two took the stage, the judges did not seem very impressed. Simon Cowell also whispered, "Just when you think things can't get worse ..." Simon asked the couple some questions about them, and the shy Jonathan let Charlotte talk more. For some reason, however, Simon didn't like it and gave him a hard time. The duo gave the production team the opportunity to start their song. They chose the song The Prayer, a well-known duo sung by many other famous singers. Obviously nervous, Jonathan remained holding the microphone with a shaking hand. The audition started on the wrong foot after a false start by Jonathan, but once Jonathan started singing, everything changed. The judges' eyes flew open in astonishment at the huge, resonant voice that came from the child in front of them. Jonathan's appearance hid the fact that he was an operatively trained tenor. Their voices filled the auditorium, but when Jonathan began his solo, it became clear that the crowd favored him for Charlotte. At the end of their performance, both the crowd and the judges stood up enthusiastically. The judges gave excellent reviews to the duo, but Simon frankly told Jonathan that he should "get rid of" Charlotte and continue as a soloist. Jonathan didn't want to know, though. Charlotte had been at his side and defended him during all those years of intimidation, and now he would be with her. He replied: "We started as a couple, we will remain a duo". Unfortunately, I wasn't destined to be, but it's nice that Jonathan and Charlotte do well in their solo careers. What I will never forget is that Charlotte has compiled the application for the program without telling Jonathan. At the time, Jonathan was depressed and believed he wasn't going anywhere in life. Charlotte gave Jonathan and the world the best gift imaginable. What a beautiful story
